Pictured is Alex Bocancea, Brian Handman and Peter Bocancea, all three competed at the Northampton Open, hosted by Richard Philips. The competition was well supported by some of the neighbouring clubs around the Northampton area.
Alex, fought really well to get to the final but didn’t have enough stamina to have his hand raised, so had to settle for second place.
Brian, in his second competition entered both semi and light contact, Brian, got beat in the first round in the light contact but made up for his loss by winning his semi contact category.

Alex’s, Brother Peter, done himself proud by winning the plus 80kg intermediate light contact and the plus 80kg senior light contact categories.
Young Bradley James, won the boys novice semi contact, Patrick Hogan, took 2nd in semi contact and a 3rd in light contact.

Jake McCarthy, also done well by taking 1st place in the Light contact and 2nd in the Semi contact.

Hannah Whitaker, won the ladies light contact and came 2nd in the ladies semi contact.
