Seven members took a trip up the M1 to Northampton, to compete at Richard Philips, interclub competition, which was held on Sunday 14th August.
The first category to start the day was the pee wee’s.
We had four members in the pee wee category, so if they were to do well they would meet each other somewhere along the line. The little guys done incredibly well with Finley Handman, losing to Isabella Glater, for third place. Bobbi Wyatt and Dominic Glater, had to fight off in the finals for that number one spot. Both fighters gave it their all to have there hand raised but Dominic, was just a little too much for Bobbi, on the day and was victorious.
The kids got together to form a team to challenge a local team in a team challenge, once again our kids showed they was on real form, with two wins, one draw and one loss.
Another win for Watford.
We also had three adults competing on the day. With Brian Handman, taking 2nd place in the men’s novice semi contact and got beat by Peter Bocancea, , intermediate light contact, Peter went on to win Gold.
Peter, also came third in the Brown and Black belt section.
Mark Williams, also fought very well, using some basic but effective techniques to win the Gold in his intermediate light contact category, Mark, took a third place in the men’s Brown and Black Belt category.
Very good day for Watford Freestyle, Well done chaps
Another good completion hosted by Richard Philips .
